This silent film shows the final preparation and loading of the "Fat Man" bomb into "Bockscar," the plane which dropped the bomb on Nagasaki. It then shows the Nagasaki explosion from the window of an observation plane. This footage comes from Los Alamos National Laboratory. I have not edited it in any way from what they gave me except to improve the contrast a little — it is basically "raw." I have annotated it with some notes on the bombing and what you can see — feel free to disable the annotations if you don't want them.

This is news about a young woman in USA, Brittany Maynard, who was 29, was diagnosed with brain cancer on
New Year's Day and was later given six months to live. She was married and lived in State of
California. That state does not allow terminally ill patients to end their
lives from Doctor Prescribed Lethal Drugs.
To overcome this, Britanny Maynard
moved to the State of Oregon to take advantage of the state's
assisted-suicide law. She had earlier posted in a video that she would end the
suffering from the cancer and she took
lethal drugs prescribed by a doctor. She has died, a spokesman said Sunday.
